San Antonio will always have a special place in my heart. It’s one of those cities that brings back so many sweet memories—visiting with my family as a kid, spontaneous road trips with friends, and just laughing way too hard over late-night snacks on the River Walk.
It’s also become one of my favorite places for a girly getaway! From cute cafés and rooftop spots with views for days to pink-themed lounges and little hidden gems all around the city, San Antonio has no shortage of fun and photo-worthy places to explore.

The best part? These homes are located in an amazing area—just minutes from local bars, rooftops, restaurants, and must-see attractions like The Alamo and The River Walk. I loved how walkable everything was during my stay.
If you’re looking to stay in a hotel, I’ve previously stayed at the Menger Hotel and the Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk—both are great options depending on the vibe you’re going for! The Menger in San Antonio is perfect if you are a history bluff because this hotel is full of history and is one of the oldest in the city. The Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk is right on the San Antonio River Walk and the view from this hotel is fantastic. Both hotels are within walking distance to The Alamo, restaurants, and shopping areas.
Best Way to Move Around
If you’re staying in Downtown San Antonio, especially at a hotel, I honestly don’t recommend renting a car. Most of the downtown area is super walkable, and for anything a little farther out, Uber will get you there easily!
If you want to explore more of San Antonio beyond just the downtown area, I highly recommend the Hop-On Hop-Off Narrated Trolley Tour! It’s a fun and convenient way to see the city, and you can choose a 1- or 2-day pass depending on your plans. It’s a great way to visit spots like The Pearl, local museums, and other must-see attractions without worrying about parking or directions.
Day 1
9 a.m. Make sure to stop by Cordura Coffee for a delicious matcha or cafecito! I tried the Vanilla-Brown Sugar Matcha and absolutely loved it—especially the cold foam on top. And can we talk about how adorable the little Winnie the Pooh designs were?
10 a.m. Spend a fun morning exploring the Pearl Farmers Market—it’s the perfect spot to shop local and try delicious treats! I love farmers markets because you never know what gems you’ll find. This time, I picked up some lavender and body soaps that smell amazing. Walk around The Pearl, this area is absolutely beautiful. Don’t miss the cute bar inside Hotel Emma for a little mid-day cocktail, and be sure to stroll through the nearby River Walk section—it’s such a peaceful and scenic spot!
1 p.m. Enjoy a delicious lunch at one of San Antonio’s most iconic spots—Mi Tierra Café y Panadería! This place is such a vibe, from the colorful décor to the live trios or mariachis serenading your table. Every time I visit San Antonio, this is a must-stop for me. It instantly transports me to the vibrant atmosphere of Mexico—the music, the food, the energy… it all feels like home.
2:30 p.m. After a yummy lunch, take some time to walk around Historic Market Square—the largest Mexican market in the United States! It’s such a fun spot to explore, with tons of local vendors selling everything from handmade goods to festive souvenirs. Grab a michelada or an agua fresca as you stroll, and if you’re lucky, you might catch some live music too! The energy here is vibrant and lively—perfect for soaking up San Antonio’s rich culture.
5 p.m. After a full morning and afternoon of exploring, head back to your stay to relax and recharge before a fun night out!
6:30 p.m. Enjoy a delicious dinner with tapas and sangria at Hola! This spot is such a gem—the tapas are full of flavor and perfect for sharing, and the sangria is so refreshing! It’s the perfect place to kick off a fun night.
8 p.m. After a delicious dinner, walk over to Tenfold Rooftop to catch the sunset and soak in the stunning city views—it’s the perfect golden hour moment! I definitely recommend making a reservation to secure a good spot. And before you head out, don’t forget to check out The Study Speakeasy tucked inside—it’s a hidden gem with cozy vibes and craft cocktails worth sipping.
10 p.m. Check out another stunning rooftop in San Antonio—The Moon’s Daughters, located at the Thompson Hotel. The vibe is chic and the views of downtown are absolutely breathtaking. It’s the perfect spot to grab drinks with friends while soaking in the city lights. I also recommend you to make reservations for this rooftop.
Day 2
9 a.m. Enjoy a delicious and totally girly brunch at Box St. All Day – Hemisfair! This spot is seriously one of the cutest brunch places in San Antonio, with an aesthetic that’s perfect for photos and a menu that hits the spot. Plus, it’s conveniently located right by Hemisfair Park, so it’s great for a post-brunch stroll. The vibe here is definitely vibing, so I highly recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends—it gets packed fast!
10 a.m. After brunch, head over to the Japanese Tea Garden—one of San Antonio’s most beautiful and peaceful spots. It’s the perfect place to unwind, take in the serene views, and snap some stunning Instagram-worthy photos and videos. The best part? Entrance is FREE and it’s open to the public, making it a must-visit stop during your trip!
11:30 a.m. Be sure to visit Mission San José—it’s my personal favorite out of all the missions in San Antonio. This stunning site is rich in history and beautifully preserved, offering a peaceful atmosphere and incredible photo spots. It’s a great way to learn more about the city’s past. Entrance is FREE and it’s open to the public.
1 p.m. Enjoy a delicious lunch at Luna Rosa Puerto Rican Grill y Tapas, a vibrant and cozy spot serving up authentic Puerto Rican flavors! The food and drinks here are so good, and the atmosphere is super cute with amazing service to match. I highly recommend trying the Mofongo con Churrasco.
3 p.m. Head to the San Antonio River Walk for a relaxing stroll and soak in the charming vibes of the river. As you wander, check out the cute local shops and hidden gems along the way. For a fun stop, visit Hugman’s Oasis, a tropical tiki cocktail bar serving up delicious tiki cocktails and mocktails in a laid-back, island-inspired setting. If you’re in the mood for a speakeasy vibe, don’t miss Downstairs at Esquire Tavern—tucked right along the River Walk. It’s the perfect cozy spot to unwind with a craft cocktail and chill
7 p.m. Head to the River Walk and enjoy a scenic boat tour with Go Rio River Cruises! I highly recommend taking this tour—it’s a relaxing way to experience the city while learning about the rich history of San Antonio and the River Walk. The guides share fun and interesting facts as you cruise past beautiful views and historic landmarks. For the best experience, I suggest going early in the morning or around sunset when the lighting is perfect and the weather is a bit cooler.
9 p.m. If you’re feeling hungry and want to grab a bite, head to my favorite restaurant on the River Walk—Paesanos Riverwalk! This spot never disappoints. My go-to order? The Pizza Bianca (so good!) and the Penne Poblano pasta. It’s the perfect place to sit back, enjoy the view, and treat yourself to a delicious meal in the heart of San Antonio.
11 p.m. If you’re still up for another rooftop adventure with great vibes and beautiful views, check out 1Watson! And if you’re feeling hungry, don’t miss their brisket tacos—they’re absolutely delicious! Be sure to ask for Crystal; I really enjoyed her amazing service and recommendations.

San Antonio siempre tendrá un lugar muy especial en mi corazón. Es una de esas ciudades que me trae tantos recuerdos lindos: visitar con mi familia cuando era niña, viajes espontáneos por carretera con amigas, y reírnos hasta llorar mientras comíamos snacks tarde en la noche en el River Walk.
También se ha convertido en uno de mis lugares favoritos para una escapada entre chicas. Desde cafeterías adorables y rooftops con vistas espectaculares hasta lounges con temática rosa y joyitas escondidas por toda la ciudad, San Antonio tiene de todo para disfrutar y tomarte las mejores fotos.

¿La mejor parte? ¡Estas casas están ubicadas en una zona increíble! A solo minutos de bares locales, rooftops, restaurantes y atracciones imperdibles como El Álamo y el River Walk. Me encantó lo caminable que es todo en esta área—¡ni siquiera necesité usar el carro durante mi estancia!
¿Prefieres quedarte en un hotel?
En el pasado me he hospedado en el Hotel Menger y el Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk—¡ambos son excelentes opciones dependiendo del estilo que estés buscando!
- El Hotel Menger es perfecto si te encanta la historia, ya que es uno de los hoteles más antiguos de la ciudad y está lleno de encanto.
- El Hyatt Regency está justo frente al River Walk y la vista desde el hotel es espectacular.
Ambos hoteles están a poca distancia caminando de El Álamo, restaurantes y zonas de compras.
La Mejor Manera de Moverse
Si te vas a quedar en el centro de San Antonio, especialmente en un hotel, honestamente no te recomiendo rentar un auto. La mayoría del centro es súper caminable, y para cualquier lugar un poco más lejos, puedes usar Uber sin problema.
Si quieres explorar más de San Antonio más allá del centro, ¡te recomiendo muchísimo el tour narrado en tranvía Hop-On Hop-Off! Es una forma divertida y práctica de conocer la ciudad, y puedes elegir entre un pase de 1 o 2 días, según tus planes. Es perfecto para visitar lugares como The Pearl, museos locales y otras atracciones imperdibles sin tener que preocuparte por estacionarte o seguir direcciones.
Día 1
9:00 a.m. ¡Empieza tu día con un cafecito o un matcha en Cordura Coffee! Yo probé el Vanilla-Brown Sugar Matcha y me encantó, especialmente la espuma fría encima. Y no podemos dejar de hablar de los adorables dibujitos de Winnie the Pooh, ¡demasiado lindos!
10:00 a.m. Pasa la mañana explorando el Pearl Farmers Market—es el lugar perfecto para comprar productos locales y probar delicias únicas. Me encantan los mercados porque siempre encuentras tesoros inesperados. Esta vez compré jabones corporales y de lavanda que huelen riquísimo. Después, camina por The Pearl, esta zona es simplemente hermosa. No te pierdas el bar dentro del Hotel Emma para un cóctel de media tarde, y asegúrate de pasear por la parte del River Walk que pasa cerca—es tranquila y súper pintoresca.
1:00 p.m. Disfruta de un delicioso almuerzo en uno de los lugares más icónicos de San Antonio: Mi Tierra Café y Panadería. Este lugar es toda una experiencia—desde la decoración colorida hasta los tríos o mariachis que se acercan a tu mesa para cantar. Cada vez que visito San Antonio, esta parada es obligatoria. Me transporta al ambiente vibrante de México: la música, la comida, la energía… ¡se siente como en casa!
2:30 p.m. Después del almuerzo, date una vuelta por el Historic Market Square—¡el mercado mexicano más grande de Estados Unidos! Es un lugar súper divertido para explorar, con muchos vendedores locales ofreciendo desde artesanías hasta souvenirs festivos. 5:00 p.m. Después de una mañana y tarde llenas de actividades, regresa a tu alojamiento para relajarte un rato y recargar energías antes de salir por la noche.
6:30 p.m. Disfruta una deliciosa cena de tapas y sangría en Hola! Este lugar es un tesoro escondido—las tapas están llenas de sabor y son perfectas para compartir, y la sangría está súper refrescante. Ideal para empezar una noche divertida con las amigas.
8:00 p.m. Después de cenar, camina hasta Tenfold Rooftop para ver el atardecer y disfrutar de las vistas increíbles de la ciudad—¡es el momento dorado perfecto! Te recomiendo hacer una reserva con anticipación para asegurar buen lugar.
Y antes de irte, no olvides visitar The Study Speakeasy que está escondido adentro—es un lugar secreto con ambiente acogedor y cócteles artesanales que valen totalmente la pena.
10:00 p.m. Termina la noche en otro rooftop espectacular: The Moon’s Daughters, ubicado en el Thompson Hotel. El ambiente es elegante y las vistas del centro de San Antonio son simplemente impresionantes. Es el lugar ideal para tomar unos drinks con tus amigas mientras disfrutan de las luces de la ciudad. También te recomiendo hacer reservación para este rooftop.
Día 2
9:00 a.m. Disfruta de un brunch delicioso y súper girly en Box St. All Day – Hemisfair ¡Este lugar es, sin duda, uno de los spots más lindos para brunchear en San Antonio! Su estética es perfecta para fotos, y el menú es delicioso. Además, está justo al lado del Hemisfair Park, ideal para una caminata después del brunch. El ambiente es súper vibrante, así que te recomiendo hacer una reservación—especialmente los fines de semana, ya que se llena rápido.
10:00 a.m. Después del brunch, visita el Jardín Japonés—uno de los lugares más hermosos y tranquilos de San Antonio. Es perfecto para relajarte, disfrutar de las vistas y tomar fotos y videos preciosos para Instagram. ¿Lo mejor? ¡La entrada es GRATIS y está abierto al público!
11:30 a.m. No te pierdas la Misión San José, mi favorita de todas las misiones en San Antonio. Este sitio histórico está bellamente conservado y lleno de historia, con una atmósfera pacífica y muchas oportunidades para tomar fotos increíbles. También es GRATIS y abierta al público.
1:00 p.m. Disfruta de un almuerzo riquísimo en Luna Rosa Puerto Rican Grill y Tapas, un lugar acogedor y vibrante con auténticos sabores puertorriqueños. La comida y las bebidas son deliciosas, el ambiente es súper cute y el servicio es excelente. Te recomiendo probar el Mofongo con Churrasco.
3:00 p.m. Dirígete al River Walk para un paseo relajado y disfruta del ambiente encantador del río. Mientras caminas, explora las tienditas locales y rincones escondidos. Haz una parada divertida en Hugman’s Oasis, un bar tropical estilo tiki que ofrece cócteles y mocktails deliciosos en un ambiente relajado e isleño.
¿Quieres algo con un toque de speakeasy? No te pierdas Downstairs at Esquire Tavern, justo en el River Walk. Es un rincón acogedor perfecto para disfrutar de un cóctel artesanal y relajarte.
7:00 p.m. ¡Haz un paseo en bote escénico con Go Rio River Cruises por el River Walk! Súper recomendado—es una forma relajante de ver la ciudad mientras aprendes sobre la historia de San Antonio y del mismo River Walk. Los guías comparten datos interesantes mientras pasas por vistas hermosas y monumentos históricos. Para una mejor experiencia, hazlo por la mañana o al atardecer, cuando la luz es perfecta y el clima más fresco.
9:00 p.m. Si ya tienes hambre otra vez, dirígete a mi restaurante favorito en el River Walk: Paesanos Riverwalk. ¡Nunca falla! Mi orden favorita: la Pizza Bianca (¡riquísima!) y la pasta Penne Poblano. Es el lugar ideal para sentarte, disfrutar de la vista y consentirte con una comida deliciosa en el corazón de San Antonio.
11:00 p.m. ¿Aún con energía para otra aventura rooftop? Visita 1Watson—tiene excelente ambiente y vistas hermosas de la ciudad. Si te da hambre, ¡no te pierdas los tacos de brisket! Y si puedes, pide que te atienda Crystal—me encantó su atención y sus recomendaciones.
