8 p.m. After dinner, take a walk around town and stop by Terlingua On Main for some live music. They’ve got a great outdoor patio, refreshing cocktails, and a laid-back vibe that I really enjoyed. It’s the perfect spot to wind down a Friday evening.

Saturday
7:30 a.m. Start your morning with a delicious Texas breakfast at McCain’s Bakery & Cafe. The cozy, country-style decor makes you feel right in Texas, and the food is both filling and delicious. Everything tastes homemade, and the service is just as warm and welcoming as the atmosphere.
8:30 a.m. Start your day with a visit to Chalk Ridge Falls Park. This beautiful spot features scenic trails and a stunning waterfall that’s totally worth the hike. Make sure to get there early—parking is limited and it can fill up quickly, especially on weekends!
10:30 a.m. After a morning of hiking, head over to Stillhouse Park to cool off at Stillhouse Hollow Lake. It’s a beautiful spot to swim, relax in the water, and take in the peaceful lake views. Whether you’re floating, wading, or just lounging by the shore, it’s the perfect way to refresh and unwind.
1 p.m. If you start to get hungry, head back to town and grab lunch at Chupacabra Kitchen. You’ll order your food there and then take a seat at Salado Lone Star Winery & Chupacabra Craft Beer, where you can enjoy local wine, craft beer, and a super lively atmosphere. The service is great, and the vibe is fun and laid-back. I recommend trying the wings or the Philly cheesesteak.
2:30 p.m. After a delicious lunch, head back to the water and explore the creek in town near the Sirena sculpture—it’s a peaceful spot with lots of charm. 8 p.m. Grab a local beer from Barrow Brewing Company and a delicious pizza from Happy Pizza Company—they’re right next to each other, making it super easy.
