MISSING Hotel – We stayed in the Habibi Dome and we loved it. This hotel has many unique stays from domes to villas. With its stylish design, serene atmosphere, and thoughtful touches, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay in and soak-up every moment. The Hill Country views from the rooms are just breathtaking and the inviting communal spaces feels like the perfect retreat. Don’t forget to visit and feed the mini cows!
Retreat on the Hill – We stayed in the Tipis and it was such an unique experience. It offered the fun of camping with all the cozy perks of glamping—think plush beds, air conditioning, and stylish decor inside a beautifully crafted tipi. This place has a variety of out-of-the-box glamping experiences from a mirror house to a star dome. This is the ultimate getaway spot for anyone craving peace, comfort, and jaw-dropping Hill Country views.
Day 1
10 a.m. Leave from from Houston and start you road-trip adventure!
12:30 p.m. Make a pit stop at Chemn Cafe in Elgin, Texas, for a coffee and a tasty sandwich. This cozy café is the perfect spot to recharge before heading to Marble Falls. While you’re there, take some time to explore Elgin’s charming downtown, filled with adorable shops and small-town vibes. It’s a delightful detour you won’t regret!
4 p.m. Arrive to your stay for check in and relax.
6 p.m. For a dinner that’s as stunning as the view, head to Bay View Restaurant and Bar, located above Lake LBJ. Whether you choose to dine indoors or on the spacious patio, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the shimmering lake. Don’t miss the Ponzu Glazed Seared Salmon and the refreshing Watermelon Salad—both are absolute must-tries. My friend and I had the perfect evening, watching the sunset while enjoying our delicious dinner and drinks. It was one of those moments that made our trip feel truly special.
8:30 p.m. After a day of exploring, head back to your cozy stay to unwind under the stars. Let the peaceful Hill Country night sky work its magic as you relax and recharge for another day of adventure ahead.
Day 2
8 a.m. Wake up and get ready for a day of adventures!
9 a.m. Stop by Sisters Coffee in Burnet for a cozy pick-me-up. This adorable coffee shop serves up unique coffee flavors you won’t find anywhere else, paired perfectly with a delicious sandwich. Fuel up for a day of adventures!
10 a.m. Explore the stunning beauty of Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge, a must-visit for hiking and nature lovers. We tackled the Creek Trail and part of the Rimrock Trail, and let me tell you—the views were absolutely breathtaking! While the creek was dry during our fall visit (thanks, Texas summers), springtime promises flowing water and even a small waterfall. Don’t miss the Shin Oak Observation Deck, another gem within the refuge. The sweeping views of the landscape are incredible, but it’s pure magic at sunset. Trust me, it’s the perfect way to wrap up your adventure!
12 p.m. After a day of hiking, treat yourself to a delicious meal at Dahlia Café in Liberty Hill, TX. Their Chicken Fried Steak, paired with a refreshing iced tea, is the ultimate comfort food fix. With its rustic charm, welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service, this spot feels like a true Texas gem. My friend and I left with a happy belly and a big smile after enjoying lunch here!
2 p.m. Go back to your stay to shower and get ready to visit a beautiful winery.
3:30 p.m. Don’t miss Torr Na Lochs Vineyard & Winery, a stunning spot that combines incredible wines with breathtaking views of the Hill Country. As you sip, you might even catch sight of Texas Longhorns grazing nearby, adding a true Lone Star touch to your experience. We tried the tasting menu and loved every single wine—it’s a must-do for any wine lover.
6 p.m. Grab dinner at Adele’s Restaurant & Lounge—you’re gonna love it. If the weather’s nice, definitely sit out on the patio. The views are so pretty, and it just makes the whole experience even better.
8 p.m. Stop by Sips on Second, a hidden speakeasy with all the charm of the 1920s. The cozy, vintage vibes make it the perfect spot to sip on a craft cocktail and unwind. It’s got that cool, secretive atmosphere that makes it feel like you’ve stumbled onto something special. Definitely a must-visit for a fun night out!
Day 3
9 a.m. For a delicious start to your day, grab breakfast tacos and coffee at Ragtime Oriole on Main. It’s the perfect spot to fuel up, and if you’re lucky, you might catch some live music—make sure to check their event schedule when you’re in town. It’s a local favorite that offers great vibes!
11 a.m. Take a stroll down Main Street in Marble Falls and explore the adorable local shops along the way. Each one has its own charm, from unique boutiques to quaint gift shops. The downtown area itself is super charming, with a relaxed vibe that makes it easy to spend a few hours just wandering and enjoying the sights. It’s the perfect spot to find a special souvenir or just soak in the local atmosphere.
2 p.m. On your way back to Houston, make sure to stop at Spicewood Vineyards. The views of the vineyards are absolutely stunning, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it the perfect place to unwind. It’s a serene spot to enjoy some great wine and take in the beauty of the Hill Country before you hit the road again.

9:00 a.m. Haz una parada en Sisters Coffee en Burnet para un café reconfortante. Esta adorable cafetería ofrece sabores únicos que no encontrarás en ningún otro lugar, combinados perfectamente con un delicioso sándwich. ¡Cárgate de energía para un día de aventuras!
10:00 a.m. Explora la impresionante belleza del Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge, una visita obligada para los amantes del senderismo y la naturaleza. Caminamos por el Creek Trail y parte del Rimrock Trail, y déjame decirte: ¡las vistas fueron absolutamente increíbles! Aunque el arroyo estaba seco durante nuestra visita en otoño (gracias al verano texano), en primavera promete agua corriente e incluso una pequeña cascada. No te pierdas el Shin Oak Observation Deck, otra joya dentro del refugio. Las vistas panorámicas del paisaje son impresionantes, pero al atardecer es pura magia. Créeme, es la manera perfecta de cerrar tu aventura.
