Denver’s mix of natural wonders, cultural highlights, and recreational opportunities makes it a top choice to visit for many travelers.

Pro Tip: If you buy the RTD (train) ticket from the airport or anywhere in Denver it’s valid for 24 hours so if you don’t rent a car and are planning on staying in the city you can use this to move around. Cost is $10 per ticket.

Itinerary

9 a.m. Have coffee or tea and a pastry at Lekker Coffee & Watering Hole – Their coffee and tea are very tasty. One of the best ones we had in Denver. The best part is that 10% of profits are donated to Care for Wild, the largest rhino orphanage and sanctuary in the world.

10 a.m. Walk around the River North Art District or as locals call it, RiNo. Explore all of the lovely boutiques, food halls and eye-popping street art on nearly every corner. This place is a must-visit if you like urban art and want to experience Denver’s dynamic cultural scene.

12 p.m. Have brunch at Barcelona Wine Bar. This place is super cute and it has delicious tapas, apellas and wines! I recommend you to try the Paella Salvaje and for tapas the Patatas Bravas and Albóndigas. For a cocktail get the Sangria it pairs perfectly with the food.

2 p.m. Walk around the city’s largest greenspace, City Park. Explore this beautiful park and enjoy nature.

4 p.m. Check out Larimer Square, the city’s oldest and most iconic block. Known for its beautifully preserved 19th-century buildings. Enjoy walking around and seeing all of the boutique shops. You can also listen to live music while you relax at one of the eateries in the square.

6 p.m. Explore Union Station, which is a historical landmark and a transit hub. This station was remodeled and it’s a lovely site full of restaurants, bars and shops.

8 p.m. Head back to RiNo for a fun night out exploring all of the different breweries and distilleries like The Block Distilling Co. If you are looking for a place to eat with a nice view of the city and the mountains, check out the rooftop of The Source Hotel. The staff are very friendly and nice.

9 a.m. Toma un café o té y un pastel en Lekker Coffee & Watering Hole. Su café y té son muy sabrosos. Uno de los mejores que hemos probado en Denver. Lo mejor es que el 10% de las ganancias se dona a Care for Wild, el mayor orfanato y santuario de rinocerontes del mundo.

10 a.m. Pasea por el Distrito de Arte de River North, o como lo llaman los locales, RiNo. Explora todas las encantadoras boutiques, food halls y el arte callejero vibrante que se encuentra en casi cada esquina. Este lugar es una visita obligada si te gusta el arte urbano y quieres experimentar la dinámica escena cultural de Denver.

12 p.m. Disfruta de un brunch en Barcelona Wine Bar. Este lugar es súper lindo y tiene deliciosas tapas, paellas y vinos. Te recomiendo probar la Paella Salvaje y para tapas las Patatas Bravas y Albóndigas. Para un cóctel, pide la Sangría, que combina perfectamente con la comida.

2 p.m. Pasea por el espacio verde más grande de la ciudad, el City Park. Explora este hermoso parque y disfruta de la naturaleza.

4 p.m. Visita Larimer Square, la cuadra más antigua e icónica de la ciudad. Conocida por sus edificios del siglo XIX bellamente conservados. Disfruta caminando y explorando todas las tiendas boutique. También puedes escuchar música en vivo mientras te relajas en uno de los restaurantes de la plaza.

6 p.m. Explora la Union Station, que es un sitio histórico y un centro de tránsito. Esta estación fue remodelada y es un hermoso sitio lleno de restaurantes, bares y tiendas.

8 p.m. Regresa a RiNo para una noche divertida explorando las diferentes cervecerías y destilerías como The Block Distilling Co. Si buscas un lugar para comer con una buena vista de la ciudad y las montañas, visita la terraza del Source Hotel. El personal es muy amable y agradable.
